Ordering Information
Ordering translated business cards is extremely easy! We offer many options, so first please click here to use our express form for a FREE quote! There is no cost to get started, and you will receive a formal cost proposal via email.
Getting Started - How To Order
 1. Select Your Target Language:
We can output your business cards in over 25 different languages.
2. Choose Your Card Layout Options:
- Single-Language Business Card, Front Side Only, Blank Back
We can utilize your existing English business card and translate the specified areas into your exact target language. This will result in a replacement card that is completely in Japanese, for example, with the reverse blank. This can be targeted to any of the 25+ languages we have to offer.
- Dual-Language Business Card, Front Side Only, Blank Back
We can revise your original layout and create a special dual-language version of your business card on one side. For this option, your original English business card will also have your target language translation included on the same side, with the reverse side blank. This can be targeted to any of the 25+ languages we have to offer.
- Dual-Language, Two Sided Bilingual Business Cards, Front/Back
We can also provide you with a dual-language option, with English on the front and any desired target language on the reverse. This will result in your standard English business card on one side, and a target language (such as Chinese) fully translated and localized on the reverse. This can be targeted to Japanese, or any of the 25+ languages we have to offer.
3. Select Your Output Option:
We can supply you with two final deliverable options:
- A Press-Ready PDF or EPS file
(Multilingual fonts converted to vector-based paths [graphic], "reassembled" and perfectly positioned into your original QuarkXPress®, Adobe Illustrator®, or Adobe InDesign® document.)
- Printed Business Cards
(We offer CMYK full color printing on white premium 14pt. semi-gloss (protective coated) cover stock, or our "black ink only" economy print option printed on 110lb. ivory matte stock.)
Many clients enjoy option #1 listed above, which provides them with a cost-effective option they can take to any print vendor. The vendor will not need any specialized fonts, applications or operating systems to print these files. Our process ensures that all final files will print smoothly, and always at the highest resolution possible for any language. However, we also offer full-color printed business cards to give you the most flexibility for your project.
4. Business Card Translation Options To Consider
We can accommodate any client preference for translated business cards. Our goal is to ensure that the business cards you receive meet your exact specifications. Thus, there are a few client-based options one should consider when translating/localizing business cards:
- Translate the company name?
To preserve consistency among all marketing material, most clients prefer that their company name remains in English, even on translated business cards. Please advise us on your preference.
- Translate the mailing address?
Most clients keep their US-based mailing address in English, even on translated business cards; primarily, because this address must be in English for their foreign audience to properly address mailings to the US, etc. Please advise us on your preference.
- Does your business card have a tag line?
Some business cards have tag lines included in English. Most clients prefer that tag lines remain in English, even for translated cards. Please advise us on your preference.
- Toll-free telephone numbers?
Many toll-free numbers (such as "800 numbers") do not work overseas, or they are not toll-free. Most clients choose to omit these numbers entirely and replace them with a standard US-based phone line. Another option is to translate a special note which explains that these numbers are only toll-free from America. (Note: Depending on the card's layout, it is not always advisable to include the toll-free explanation as it will seriously distort the card's layout.)
- Already have a specific translated name?
Again, our goal is to work with you and ensure that each card meets your exact specifications. For example, if you have a Japanese-American name, and would like to provide the exact kanji characters on your business card, we can include this. You can always fax us any specific characters to use on your business cards.
5. Submit Your Original English Business Card Files to Us:
If you DO have the original English electronic files for your card layout:
- Please use Stuffit [Mac] or Zip [PC] to compress all files. NOTE: Include all required fonts. Typically business card files are created in either QuarkXPress® or Adobe Illustrator®, however we have a wide variety of applications for both Mac and PC to accommodate your files. Include all required files, including the fonts, original file, etc., and use our automated express FREE quote form to request a quote. You can also email any quote requests to: luna@lunaconcepts.com.
If you DO NOT have the original English electronic files for your card layout:

However, to proceed with your project and place an order without your original English electronic file, you will need to do one of the following:
- You may also just email us all the necessary information (Name/Title/Address, etc.) and we can create a business card using one of our standard business card formats shown above. Simply use the pull down menu for the question "Submitting Your Own Card Design?", and select your desired sample style.
- Please fax toll free to (1.888.844.8793) or email us a scan of your current English business card to: cards@lunaconcepts.com. Any logos or artwork must be submitted in a press-quality print format of 300dpi or above, etc.
- You can download any of our blank supplied template files to create your original English electronic file for your business card. Include all required files, including the fonts, and email the Stuffit [Mac] or Zip [PC] file to: cards@lunaconcepts.com
